SUBWOOFERS

To keep up with its powerful 15 inch high excursion driver, the Tower needed a very powerful yet proven and reliable amplifier. For this purpose, we chose BASH technology for our amplifiers. However, we increased the amplifier power for use without larger 15 inch subwoofer driver.

First and foremost, this amplifier needed to perform. With an incredibly powerful yet efficient design, it more than easily takes care of the job. Utilizing an ultra efficient Class D digital switching output stage, the amplifier creates plenty of clean power.

It also manages to do it with very little wasted energy. Older amplifier designs can waste energy in the form of heat. BASH technology tracks the incoming signal and matches it accordingly. We even use a large external extruded aluminum heatsink to get heat outside of the enclosure instead of letting it build up inside. The results are superb.

And we haven’t forgotten about sound quality. Our amplifiers also feature a class AB preamplifier section. Why? It gives the subwoofer magnificent sound quality to go along with its efficient and powerful design. The incoming signal integrity is preserved in the preamplifier section and reaches your driver without degradation.

BASH technology gives us the best of both worlds. We get the brute power needed to properly control our custom high power, high excursion subwoofer driver. The amplifier also keeps sound quality a top priority by making sure the signal from your music or movie system stays pure and clean.

Multiple inputs and outputs are provided to make hooking up and adjusting the performance of the Tower simple and user-friendly. Low level RCA-jack inputs are provided for use with receivers and preamplifiers that have a dedicated subwoofer line output. It also features a set of low-level outputs for daisy chaining multiple subwoofers.

High levels inputs allow users to hook up the Tower to a system even if they do not have a dedicated subwoofer output on their equipment. This can often be the case with high-end dedicated stereo systems.

A gain adjustment allows easy control over the output level. A turn of the dial lets you adjust the subwoofer level until it matches your main speakers. Crossover settings are also adjustable. The phase and on/off functions can also be tailored to your preferences with the flip of a switch. And if you prefer to utilize your receiver or preamplifier to control the bass settings, there is an LFE switch that removes the amplifier’s crossover functions.

The amplifier is simple, powerful, easy to use and has great sound quality. When used in tandem with its powerful driver and fantastic cabinet, it is no wonder why the Tower performs so well.
