Empire Update

January 26, 2010

What a whirl wind!

Ever since we posted news about the new Empire subwoofer, we’ve had nothing but nonstop phone calls and emails. Keep ‘em coming!

We thought we’d post another blog to let you know where we’re at with things and for you to hear some answers to some of the questions we’ve been getting.

We are hoping to have an official product/order page up within the next week or two. We just need some down-time to get it up and running. The product page will have more images, product descriptions, specs and graphs to better showcase our new Empire subwoofer.

How to Order

In the meantime, if you’re interested in early ordering but have questions, just give us a call and we will be happy to help you out. If you’re already ready to order, you’re welcome to place your order online. We have a couple temporary pages set up, so you can send us your information securely.

To order one Empire subwoofer please visit:

To order dual Empire subwoofers check out:

Of course, if you’d rather wait to order, you’re welcome to do so. The introductory pricing will last for at least a few weeks after the time we list the Empire officially on our site.

In regards to shipping, please keep in mind, we are still in the process of moving Epik Subwoofers. We will not be officially moved (offices, machinery, accounts, etc.) for another few weeks. So, until now, pick-up orders have been the fastest for us to fulfill, with the exception of a batch of Empire subwoofers we shipped out from our previous location. We are setting up shipping for the new Empire as we speak and will begin shipping in the next couple of days after our forklift is moved to the new location. We will, as usual, send tracking information to our customers as soon as the orders leave our facility.

The Empire weighs 120lbs and therefore shipped on a pallet via freight. This is different than most of our previous products, which could ship Ground. One Empire costs $139 to ship to the 48 continental US states. Dual Empires cost $238 to ship to the 48 continental US states.

Again, we are working as fast as we can to get orders out the door and have been working ’round the clock.

We apologize if your order has not shipped yet and will begin shipping later this week. All future orders will than begin shipping next day.

Everybody here has been amazed by the positive reaction online and the excitement the new product is creating. Thanks to all of you for your interest in the Empire subwoofer.

Introducing the Epik Empire

January 20, 2010

Here at Epik Subwoofers, we’ve been moving our company to a new location. For those of you who are worried about future pickups, we haven’t moved far. :)

During this time we have also been behind the scenes, working on a new product, as some of you may have suspected. The product will be available shortly, with all the information and pictures on our website. In the mean time, here are some of the general specs and information we wanted to let you in on right away.

The new product is a dual 15 inch sealed subwoofer called the Empire. The Empire features our new Parallel Drive Technology.TM To properly utilize this technology, we’ve engineered it to use a pair of proprietary 15 inch drivers oriented in a force-cancelling configuration. They are powered by our proven 600 watt Epik amplifier platform complete with XLR inputs and fantastic reliability.

The cabinet design features massive 1 inch thick MDF construction with internal bracing. The cabinet even has a sealed sub-enclosure for the amplifier to ensure high performance and reliability. It features dual grills with heavy-duty 1 inch thick frames and massive metal grill pins for improved stability. All corners have 1 inch radius roundovers as well.

Thanks to our new Parallel Drive Technology,TM not only does this subwoofer have deep bass extension, but it can also belt-out insane midbass. Even a separate midbass module can’t match the overall output of the Empire subwoofer. For this reason, its movie and music performance is in a league of its own.

The cabinet is 22”H x 18”W x 24”D. We’ve designed it to be relatively compact so it will fit into cramped rooms easily and also work well in dual subwoofer configurations. The weight of the subwoofer is approximately 120 pounds. This is an inert cabinet that has virtually no vibrations of any kind. It rests on four rubber feet that make placement on any kind of flooring easy.

For a limited time, the introductory price of the Empire subwoofer will be $799. The introductory price for dual Empire subwoofers will be $1499. That’s nearly half off the MSRP!

The new Empire subwoofer is in stock now and ready to ship. However, as mentioned earlier, we are in the process of moving to a new location. Once our phones and internet are set up in the new facility, we will release the Empire subwoofer officially on our product page and begin shipping immediately.

If you want us to take your order early, simply email us at sales@epiksubwoofers.com. Otherwise, the Empire’s new order page should be up in the next week or two.
